I had a Q4 for a short period of time featuring paddle “shifters” that controlled the regen level. This came in handy for hills as I had regen disabled by default. Audi has no assignable meta button. I wish the Macan had two like the Taycan.

Dealers in my area are maintaining “interest lists” for $0, on which I am apparently in the first slot. Agreed that until there are customer allocations available, dealers taking “deposits” at this point are just taking money to write your name in a notebook…that hopefully doesn’t end up in the...

Actually iirc the Macan is (was?) actually the cheapest entry point, at least in NA. Could care less about “prestige”. Not everyone tracks their Porsche. A Base 718 is plenty of car for me, I expect the EV to be more car than I need. Don’t be “this guy”:

I’ve never understood the fascination with cars that fart and gurgle. Sounds like they need a tune up and a new exhaust. Personally, I like the “whirrr” from my EVs…makes me feel like I’m flying a jet.

That interior pic with the guy in the jeans has been around for a while. The center cluster looks like what I have in my Macan 4S…those are touch sensitive “appliqués” on a translucent panel with tactile feedback. So for all intents and purposes, buttons, along with an analog volume control.

Butt-Head is clearly an EV fan. Well before his time.
