Some good positive feedback in those reviews. Looking forward to the first-drive reviews though. Then they can speak on steering dynamics.

Per TheTimes, production version unvail in a few weeks, likely before Holidays:
In a couple of weeks’ time we’ll be allowed to get behind the wheel of the production version, but for now,
Some of the articles have Röhrl confirm the weight at around 1700kg and 500-600hp RWD. (AWD could have more hp?)
55:45 weight distribution.
0-62mph feels like low 4s (per CarMagazine - unconfirmed straight line acceleration)

Battery details per TheTimes - 10 modules, 210 cells per modules; reverse T or L shape(?) behind the seats, tottaling 1.1m long and 0.5 m wide:
210 cells in ten “stacks”, four on the upper levels and six below — plus the electronic management system and 800v charging technology.
Suspension details per TheTimes hinting at PAR(?):
I also notice very little in the way of pitching under braking or squatting under acceleration
Release date per AutoExpress:
But that’s all we know for now – apart from there categorically won’t be a combustion-powered version. The mid-engined electric two-seater goes on sale in 2027, and a fixed-head version will follow.
Release date per CarMagazine:
At some point in 2027, likely in the summer.
Porsche newsroom says it expects a full year of sale in 2028; so likely deliveries start sometime Autumn/Q4 2027.

Soft roof in 2027 and hard roof following later?

They also guess at a price point starting at over £100,000.

Nothing really neu here, except for the fact that they’re letting all the “electric cars have no soul” journos at it.

Some of the stuff was just rumors; now we have confirmations on: announcment date, weight, battery, performance (for a trim), release date

The car also does a good impression of a flat 6 apparently; so the journos were pleased also.

That’s ~520USD I’ll be spending elsewhere.

It's really unfortunate that the general opinion seems to be, "make it pretend to be an ICE" instead of just letting an EV be an EV. I really hope we will be able to disable the noisemaker/fake gearing and enjoy the EV as an EV.

You will. It's basically the same system that is in the 2027 Taycan.

A system that all of us have opinions about (guilty, forI have E-shift in my Taycan order), but not one of us have yet personally experienced.

Like all new models, I look forward to members here first having behind the wheel experience and then what they post about it.

If we assume that media jurnos are a extrapolation of real drivers, in the sense that they vary in personality and preferences; then we should confidently say it’s a great system for everyone - since literally every review of it has been good.

Of course, like with everything, there will always be minorities that dislike it or love it too much.

The fact that no Chinese car has yet copied it, could hint that new drivers don’t want the noise; and the fact that international media loves it, would hint that older drivers love the noise.

I for one can’t drive my j1.1 taycan without sports sound, I feel like in a submarine. So that option will be mandatory for me 😁

IMHO the most enjoyable thing about the Porsche purchase process is endlessly checking/unchecking option boxes.

The noise thing is only for people without EV experience. I've driven EVs since 2012 (my current EV is a 2014 Tesla Model S P100DL -- yes, I've modified it a lot) and the lack of [most] noise is a significant appeal.
